Lambourn Valley
Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG)
Neighbourhood Policing
My name is Claire Drewitt and I am the Neighbourhood Specialist officer and I am based at the Police Station in Hungerford. As a Neighbourhood team, we support the surrounding villages including Lambourn and Great Shefford. Each month, we produce a monthly update which gets disseminated through the Thames Valley Website. Every 4-6 weeks we hold a NAG (Neighbourhood Action Group) meeting and discuss concerns brought to us by the local community.

An idea which was raised in the last meeting was that we wondered if a shortened version of the Monthly update may be able to be distributed through a link on your Website? That way, we reach the local community and inform them of forthcoming events and updates.

The Lambourn Valley NAG Committee has been meeting regularly since last year and under discussion are some of the problem areas which you highlighted at the open meetings at the beginning of 2008. Those problems are:-
1. Alcohol related crime and disorder.
2. Vandalism and Damage.
3. Speeding

In our problem solving meetings we have recognised certain areas where these events occur.
PCSO Lee Bremner would like to impress upon the community along the Lambourn Valley that if any crime related incidents are causing them concern in their street ,village or surrounding area do not hesitate to call her. If Lee isn’t told what is happening she and her fellow Officers cannot act for you. Don’t think someone else will call or that the problem will go away, they often don’t and it often doesn’t. Leave a message for her on 0845 8505505 and she will get back to you.
