With all choppers safely down the fixed wing contingent of the AAC take their places on the airfield.

At 11.44am - what is in my opinion the 2nd most beautiful aircraft ever built, touched down at Manor Farm. Piloted by Pete John - it is of course the North American P-51D Mustang.

12 Noon was the scheduled time for the serving of lunch and as Pete John finished his post flight checks and made his aircraft safe.  Our chef and his catering staff swung into action beginning what would prove to be an extremely hectic couple of hours for them all.
Our caterers for the day were the Swindon based firm of - - run personally by Chef, "Robert Collis"
The weather had held so far! - and although the ominous dark clouds had been passing overhead all morning, they had very kindly held on to any rain within. As the queue for lunch grew by the minute it provided a good opportunity for those of us more interested in aircraft than food - to get really close to the array of parked hardware and talk to some of their pilots and crew.
The sound of helicopters filled the air once again, this time announcing the arrival of members of "The Blue Eagles" display team
