The first major casualty was the windbox, As previously noted, this had been badly attacked by woodworm which it seems had been in the blower casing for many years. No option here but to replace the box completely.

While Tony and Ted busied themselves with the console, Paul was again back at the workshop. This time producing new organ pedals for the next stage of the refurbishment.
Slowly and systematically, the organ began to take shape, with the completion of the console imminent, attention was turned to the windchest and the refitting of the pipes....pipes that ranged in size from two metres plus in length, to those that were small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of a human hand.

The windchest is now ready to receive it's full compliment of pipes.

Paul and Tony carry out the final voicing checks.
Restoration complete and Tony puts the organ through it's paces.
