The pages that follow are drawn heavily from the locally produced book "East Garston Past & Present". IIn November 1997 thirteen local residents came together as the "East Garston Millennium 2000 committee" to co-ordinate the production of the said book. Thirteen years on in 2010 what was in fact The Present then - has now itself - become the past. ................... The book was published in 1999 and carries a wealth of old photos and information.. However, in the ensuing years more vintage photos have come to light, and with the acquisition of a fair number of Not so old pictures, I hope very much to continue on in the spirit of this excellent publication.
