The Opening of the new Nets ~ 2005

 

On Tuesday 19th April 2005, East Garston Cricket Club were delighted to welcome Peter and Diana Smith (sponsors of the club), to open the new nets. All team members were presented with a club shirt donated by Peter and Diana.

The shirts have the PJS emblem on the left and the East Garston Cricket Club emblem, designed by Tom Highnett, on the right.

East Garston Amenities, who donated the money to buy the nets, was represented by Penny Locke. Chris Tonge, Chairman of the Club thanked Penny, Peter and Diana for their valued support. Peter and Diana then cut the ribbon to officially open the nets. Everyone toasted the new nets with a glass of champagne and the team was wished every success for the coming season.
