Sunday the
5th of November 2006 saw the trial introduction of the
indoor market. Ten stalls were present on the day
offering a range of quality goods that included garden
ornaments, greetings cards, preserves, furniture, Christmas
decorations, games and toys. A high percentage of these
items were hand made locally and quite unique.
Aside
from providing local sellers with an opportunity to promote
their wares, the market also helps to raise funds for
the general upkeep of the village hall. The hall
being something most of us use from time to time in one
guise or another. Unfortunately, despite attracting a
full compliment of sellers - the market was virtually
unsupported by the community and only a handful of residents
came along to see the quality of the goods that were on
offer.
