Summer Dance

East Garston Village Hall & Bar - June the 16th 2012

East Garston Social Club opened it's doors way back in 1972, when it consisted of just one single games room attached to the south side of the Village Hall. The club itself continued to develop, and during these years, actively encouraged it's own Cricket and football teams. In 1986 the club was extended to provide comfortable lounge and seating facilities to compliment its well stocked bar. The Club's management committee work hand in hand with the village hall trustees to maintain an enviable social facility for the village.

This year's annual summer dance marks the 40th anniversary of the Social Club, so to fittingly mark the occasion, the 2012 event took on a dstinct "70s" theme in recognition of 40 years of entertainment provision to the village and surrounding area.
Other years, this traditionally outdoor dance has been subject to the whims of the English weather - but not this year, as the village Marquee,  still warm from the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, was pressed into service.
The organisers wish to extend their grateful thanks to all who worked so hard to make the event the success it turned out to be. Finally and most importantly - Thank you to all who came and supported the evening, without you - all the hard work would have counted for nothing.
