Calling all keen gardeners!
(and cooks, and children too!)

East Garston Allotment Association
Produce Show!

at The Village Fête
Sunday 12 September 2010

Since we took over the land for our allotments in January this year, this is our first Produce Show and we would like to invite all keen gardeners and their families to join in the fun and enter as many classes as you can.

As well as vegetables, there are classes for flowers, flower arranging, baking, jam making, and lots of things for children to enter too.

Our judges for the day are none other than Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall, Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medallist and writer, and her husband Robert, acknowledged by Jane as the real vegetable expert! They are happy to give some honest feedback on your efforts, so if you want to hear an expert’s opinion, enter now!

Just a few rules:
• There is a small entry fee of 20p per class and some very small prizes as well, but the emphasis is on fun!

• Exhibitors must have grown their own produce (except Flower Arrangements) and made their own Cookery exhibits.

• No exhibitor can make more than one entry per class.

• All the produce (but not the children’s art and models) will be sold at the Fête with the proceeds split between the Allotment Association and the Fête charities fund.

• To secure your entries, please download the entry form, and return it to the Village Shop by 9 Sept 2010. For extra forms, either photocopy, or call into the Shop.

• Entries to be set up in the marquee on Sunday morning 8.00 – 10.00am 12 September for judging at 11.00am.
