An idea for a "ladies only" night, dreamed up one morning during a casual conversation in the village shop, came to fruition on Saturday the 20th of March ~ When around 40 ladies of varying age groups, turned out for the showing of the film Mama-Mia in the village hall.

Everyone enjoyed the evening and participated in singing along to the well known tunes. Popcorn and hot dogs were on sale making the evening feel just as though we were actually at the movies. Most pleasing was the fact that not only was there very welcome local support, but we also attracted visitors from Newbury ,Tadley and Hungerford as well.

I would just like to thank all who attended ,and to mention that we hope to do another one soon. I would also like to thank all those people who helped organize the event and made it a great success.
