7.30am - and even at this hour, shop manager, Alan Money had seen his first customers. We were however still awaiting the bread and milk deliveries which as tradition seems to dictate in rural areas, hadn't arrived at the scheduled time. Alan was on the phone trying to track it down.

Finally the bread arrives and with the help of customers Paul & Matt along with Peter Ireland of "Irelands News" it is quickly transfered from van to shop.

Just 30 minutes into its frst trading day, the shop had already seen a fair number of customers

There was a steady flow of customers throughout the day and, other than the late bread delivery referred to earlier, all ran smoothly. Many remarked on just how much room there actually was inside the shop compared to its compact look from the outside. Other comments included "It's like the Tardis in here size-wise" ~ "how wonderfully fresh and bright it all is" ~ "its great that we no longer need to use the car to go shopping in the next village" ~ "Brilliant, the shop looks great"
