On Saturday 1st September we travelled south into Hampshire to the pretty village of Longparish near Andover for their traditional village fete held at the Cricket Club. It was a lovely venue and the sun shone all afternoon.
The event was organised with military precision so we knew exactly when to dance and when to stop, which is quite unusual! We had an appreciative audience with plenty of volunteers (some extremely young) to join in when required.

The weather was no better when it came to Lambourn School Fete on Saturday 7th July,
so the decision was made to hold the event indoors.

We performed two sets in the school hall to an appreciative audience and even persuaded the Head to join in our invitation ‘Quest’ dance. We had some very young participants too!
Our reward was a delicious cream tea thanks to the organisers.

It was a cold and windy day when Garston Gallopers made a return trip to Chute for their annual Fete on Saturday 16th June. Sadly, many stall holders had cancelled due to the atrocious weather, but the organisers were glad to see that the Gallopers had not been put off. The audience was sparse, but we managed to dance to the best of our ability in the very windy conditions.
