Wedding Blessing

Garston Gallopers at Charlotte & Gunter’s Wedding Blessing – Sat 15th September

We were delighted to be invited to join in the celebrations for the wedding blessing of Charlotte (Lynn’s daughter) to Gunter at Eastbury church. The day was beautifully warm and sunny and the church had been prettily decorated. The service was a little quirky with the German groom dressed in full Highland costume complete with kilt and tam o’ shanter, and the ring-bearers being two greyhound dogs!
After the service we provided the guard of honour with our Morris sticks as the bride and groom left the church.
Next came an opportunity to dance on Back Street with Lynn gamely joining in despite being dressed in her
‘Mother of the Bride’ outfit!

After a few dances it was time to move on to the Village Hall where an amazing afternoon tea had been laid out. There was more cake than anyone could manage.
Despite having eaten too much we managed a few more dances including Wedding Ring which we danced around the happy couple who had been hand-cuffed together! Plenty of guests wanted to join in our final dance.
Special thanks to Lynn, Charlotte and Gunter for allowing us to celebrate this delightful occasion with their family.
