Diamond Jubilee
Village Celebrations over the weekend in June 2012
| In
the week leading up to the Jubilee everyone was encouraged to decorate
their homes with bunting and flags. Early on Sunday morning as the
dawn chorus got underway, a panel of judges visited all areas of
the Parish in their quest to find the best dressed home or
public space. |

| The
presentation took place in the Marquee later but I think they were
all winners in their own right. Well done to everyone who took part. |

| Sunday
the 3rd of June and the original plans for the day were for the
celebrations to have been an open air event through and through
but , as with all such events in the dear old UK, the weather decides
these things for us. Undaunted, our own "Garston Gallopers"
braved the conditions and danced for a very appreciative audience
out in the car park - and the rain. |

| Time
now for a touch of audience participation, and in spite of the rain,
there were plenty of willing volunteers. |
